No account, no analytics, no server. This page explains what the app does with your calendar link, and what the website and Whop see.

duebar doesn't collect your data. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no crash reporting and no server of ours that the app talks to. Everything the app knows lives on your Mac. This page exists to spell out exactly what that means, and to cover the two places where a third party is involved: the website you're reading, and Whop, where the app is sold.
What the app processes
duebar reads the calendar feed link(s) you paste in, downloads the calendar file at that address, and shows you the assignments inside it. The link is stored in your Mac's Keychain. The downloaded assignments are cached in a file inside the app's sandbox so it can work offline. Your preferences (refresh interval, look-ahead window, notification settings) are stored in the app's own settings on your Mac.
Where it goes
Nowhere. duebar makes exactly two kinds of network request: to the calendar link(s) you pasted, and — only when you click Check for updates — to getduebar.com/appcast.json to read the current version number. That second request is a plain file download; it carries no identifier, no device information and nothing about you or your assignments.
What we can see
Nothing. We have no way to know who uses duebar, how often, or what's in your calendar. Your calendar feed link is a private URL issued by your school's Canvas (or by Google); it is never sent to us.
Notifications
If you turn reminders on, macOS asks for permission at that moment. Notifications are generated and delivered locally on your Mac. Nothing leaves the device.
Removing your data
Delete the app. Your feed link can be removed from Keychain Access if you want to be thorough (search for "duebar"). To revoke the link itself, go to Calendar → Calendar Feed → Reset in Canvas.
getduebar.com is a static site hosted on GitHub Pages. We set no cookies and run no analytics or tracking scripts. Two third parties are involved when you load a page:
duebar is sold through Whop. When you buy it, Whop collects what it needs to process the payment and deliver the download — typically your name, email address and payment details — under Whop's privacy policy. We never see your card number. We can see the order details Whop shows sellers (such as your email and the purchase date), and we use that only to deliver the app, handle refunds, and reply if you contact us.
If you write to us for support, we keep the email for as long as it's useful to help you, and we won't add you to any list or share it with anyone.
duebar is built for students, and some students are under 18. Because the app collects no personal information at all, there is nothing for us to hold about anyone of any age. Purchases must be made by an adult or with a parent or guardian's permission, per Whop's terms.
duebar is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Instructure (Canvas), Google, or your school. Your use of Canvas and Google Calendar is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. Because the app doesn't contact us, we can't notify you inside it — the date at the top of this page is the record.
